I've been writing ransom notes

A friend of mine had a birthday a couple of weeks ago. C and JJ and I bought tickets to see The Nutcracker with him next month. Because he's an idiot, he didn't read the card. I talked to him the day after his birthday, and he had no idea we'd written anything besides 'happy birthday'. He's one of those guys who's like, 'uh huh, card, yeah. PRESENT! More cards, whatever. PRESENT!'[Poll #1086823]Ideas? Suggestions?

Date: 2007-11-17 08:49 pm (UTC)Dumbass-ex-housemate hasn't mentioned receiving anything to me or C - probably because he's not sure which of us it is - but he did mention it to JJ, who pretended he didn't have any idea. To be fair, Dumbass hasn't had enough clues to get it from those alone, but he knows the date and it wouldn't take long on google to know what's going on that night in Nottingham. I think if he had figured it out, JJ would be the route of communication, and so far: nothing. Which means I get to keep playing!
The last one I sent was the above, which I posted on Monday. Will do the next tomorrow. JJ cut out some ballet shoes from the paper the other day. I'm thinking I'll put those in place of the word 'dance' in 'dance like nobody's watching'. Not my greatest note yet, but I'm still a bit stuck. Any ideas? After that I'll ask if he's cracked it yet, but I'm hoping he'll guess from the ballet shoes. He is a dumbass though...
How's nanowrimo going? If you need someone to read anything through for cheerleading/concrit/English, give me a yell.
