Why didn't I do this five years ago when it might have helped!? It's actually pretty accurate, so kudos to somebody. All the careers I ever seriously considered are in there - except the one I ended up doing. Why is it that these career thingies never suggest 'screw those schmucks, work for yourself!'?

Dude.
And every day this week, a total stranger has come up to me at work and told me what a great job I'm doing. It's happened a lot lately and every time I have this momentary indecision where I'm not sure if I'm:
a) Irritated because they'd never have said that to a boy. I went to what was possibly the most hard core feminist school in the country and when we left it at 18, hardly any of my friends really saw the point of men. Socially, things have... evolved. Men=good. Career-wise, I've given many a tradesman something to think about, which I'm so very proud of.
or b) shiny-happy-smug because it's such a gratifying thing to hear.
Happy wins. It wins by far. I haven't given a tradesman a fight on the subject of competency for months. Possibly because I haven't really seen the point of having them around...
