First person POV, for me, and if done well, is my favorite type of POV. The thing is, it is so rarely done well in printed fiction that I almost never run across something I'm willing to read. I really base my preferences for books on other things, *weird* things like if the first sentence grabs me and if the prose flows instead of being choppy, among others.
This does help! This helps hugely. I quite like 1st person as well but have never written it - but the story I'm working will only come out in 1st person. So, yay - your pro-1st person stance balances out one very anti-1st person stance, and I'm just gonna stop fighting it. Excellent! Makes my life easier.
