Naming poll
Jul. 8th, 2008 11:48 amI've had my gorgeous little kitten for almost a week, and she rocks in every way, even putting up getting soaked by the dog's post-drink clampy jaws. She's very brave and bold for her age and size, and purrs easily. She's affectionate, and likes to curl up in small spaces like elbows and necks. She's a cutie! But she's still nameless.[Poll #1219715]

Date: 2008-07-08 11:24 am (UTC)My only advice is to make sure that whatever you name her make sure it's something you're not going to be embarassed about yelling out at night to get her to come back inside.
My mum named our family dog 'Candy' when I was younger (She loved the song by that title) and I always felt like such a retard yelling that out in front of people.

Date: 2008-07-08 01:21 pm (UTC)I didn't credit on purpose - I wanted this to be impartial so your various LJ buddies didn't go for yours automatically. Not that they would. But I was a scientist, once! I figure comments are safe. For the record, Tribble was ex-housemate R's idea; Merry was yours, obviously; Sinister was C's grandpa Frank; Gypsy was my next door neighbour.
I have yet to contribute a suggestion. *dies*
Who's the kittie in your icon? They look a lot alike, right down to the white eye-rings. Which are only for the best cats, obviously.

Date: 2008-07-08 01:28 pm (UTC)Kittie in my icon is one of the last batch of kittens that next door neighbor's daughter's cat had. She was the mom of the one cat who had the kittens this year - and I think the current litter and last share the father, but since we're out in the country, we'll never know. It's a mystery! Still, to answer your question - it was one of a batch of kittens in 2005, and my brother took gorgeous pictures of them, so I made this one into an icon.
This cat icon is of Tigre, a female marmalade tabby from my home village in Switzerland. She's very, very cuddly, despite being a mostly outdoors cat.

...okay, nothing in that sentence needed editing, but I thought the description was funny, so there you go. Am currently changing "buckled" to "holstered". HAH. Working hard. (Yes, I am totally avoiding the rewrite issue right now.)
The icon! Makes me LAUGH. Oh, I love Red Dwarf so very, very much.
