Also, I went to the builders' merchants the other day. There were several customers waiting, and when they came to serve me, the employee plucked a box of biscuits from under the desk and offered me one. Just me - not any of the blokes shopping there.
I feel like I ought to demand equal treatment... but I really don't want to!
