Well, yeah, there was no plan. Other than walking in there, and saying "get out of this planet, now". Which may work for the Doctor, but, generally, Jack, because he has a backup plan for when talking doesn't work.

And no, of course it wasn't just us devoted fans that were pissed and cried and shouted at the TV. I think, well, a lot of people did.
