Doggy update...

I just called the vet for an update, and he's still asymptomatic. Which is a good sign! \o/ He could still go seriously south, but I'm encouraged. Also, I asked if I could come and take him out for an hour tmrw and have a good run with him so he doesn't go too crazy, and they're fine with the idea, provided he's still asymptomatic. That's the thing that's been upsetting me the most - he hates being cooped up, especially cooped up without ppl around. The only thing that sorts him out is tons of exercise. So, yay! I feel tons better.

Thanks for the kind thoughts this morning, I really needed the moral support!

And now I'm off to the cinema for the evening, see you all on the flip side. *hugs Internet hard*

I'm so glad to hear he's still asymptomatic! Will send good thoughts your way for as long as I'm awake. Have fun with the little brat tomorrow, and spoil him rotten once you get him back home again. ♥

Great to hear that! It sounds like a really good sign!
I'm relieved, because my sister was kind of unhelpful in the matter, she only knew to add that grapes are toxic for dogs already, not only once they're raisins, and that a couple of ingested raisins, when treated right, aren't much of a problem. She couldn't say anything about the effects of a pound of them, though...

\o/ indeed! I haven't heard anything this evening from the vets, which can only be a good thing.

This should be an education for your sister too, then! My vets certainly didn't seem to know much about it, and stillane reports that the literature isn't entirely sure either. Which at least means it's not a clear cut raisins=death progression!

Yes, I am feeling much better, can you tell? :) I can't wait to go take him for a long walk tomorrow. If he's tired he shouldn't even have too tough a time at the vets for the rest of his stay.

Assuming I get to bring him home on Friday. All my fingers are still crossed.
