I got it in July of last year, so the warranty's up - it's a software issue, so hopefully the laptop isn't dead-dead, just wiped-dead.

Hurrah for my lovely desktop. This is why I need two computers!

What do zombies sound like? There must be a fic somewhere that would rock if read in zombie voice. Maybe in SPN? I would laugh til I cried if you did that.

All of it! Which is about 20k words so far. This podbang thing is cursed (http://tacittype.livejournal.com/43429.html), this is the third time I've lost data.

I don't know, maybe it'll be recoverable? I'm taking the laptop into the shop tomorrow and maybe they'll save the day.

Oh NO!! I'm so, so sorry - data loss is one of the curses of modern life. I swear the frustration levels reached over it could keep several small countries supplied with energy, if only we could figure out how to tap them...

I know, right? Doom. But still, it was more upsetting back in the days of the large WIP fic folder. These days it's mostly podfic and TV, which is easily replaced. The podbang is a bitch though!
